Here is the opening prayer for the Democratic National Convention next week.

June 20, 2012

From the Book of Afscme:

Obama is my shepherd; I shall not work.
He keepth jobs out of the hands of the people,
Which leadeth the country to class warfare and polarization.
He encourageth sloth; he leadeth the government to new heights in deficit spending.
Yea, though I walk in the shadow of Economic collapse,
I shall fear no depression: for Obama is with me.
His handouts and monetary indiscretion supplement my income.
He maintainest spending increases in the presence of insurmountable debt;
He punisheth businesses with excessive regulations;
And giveth the hard-earned fruits of labor to the unproductive.
Surely, handouts and stimulus payments shall follow all the days of his administration;
And I will stay unemployed forever.

The $50 Lesson

May 8, 2012
Stolen from someone on Facebook

Recently, while I was working in the flower beds in the front yard, my neighbors stopped to chat as they returned home from walking their dog.

During our friendly conversation, I asked their little girl what she wanted to be when she grows up.

She said she wanted to be President some day.

Both of her parents, liberal Democrats, were standing there, so I asked her, “If you were President what would be the first thing you would do? “

She replied… “I’d give food and houses to all the homeless people.”

Her parents beamed with pride!

“Wow…what a worthy goal!” I said. “But you don’t have to wait until you’re President to do that!” I told her.

“What do you mean?” she replied.

So I told her, “You can come over to my house and mow the lawn, pull weeds, and trim my hedge, and I’ll pay you $50. Then you can go over to the grocery store where the homeless guy hangs out, and you can give him the $50 to use toward food and a new house.”

She thought that over for a few seconds, then she looked me straight in the eye and asked, “Why doesn’t the homeless guy come over and do the work, and you can just pay him the $50?”

I said, “Welcome to the Republican Party.”

Her parents aren’t speaking to me any more.

The Wisconsin Republican Senate Race as of Today!

April 6, 2012

As I see it Eric Hovde and Mark Neumann are the two to watch in the Senate race.  Jeff Fitzgerald is sufficiently conservative but lacks the name recognition needed for a statewide race.  Tommy G. Thompson is a 90′s style conservative and while a reliable Republican vote, the conservative movement has grown past him.  Neumann has the name recognition, is a staunch conservative and his business experience is a definite plus.  Hovde has the funding to get the statewide recognition, is a conservative business man and has written a number of things promoting conservative ideals.   Any Thoughts?

AG Van Hollen: Statement on today’s opinion and order affecting 2011 Wisconsin Act 10

March 31, 2012

3/31/2012

Contact: Dana Brueck 608/266-1221

MADISON — Earlier today, Judge William Conley of the United States District Court for the Western District of Wisconsin issued an “Opinion and Order” in Wisconsin Education Association Council, et al. v. Walker, et al., Case No. 11 CV 428, which involved a challenge to certain provisions of 2011 Wis. Act 10, relating to distinctions between unions representing “public safety employees” and other “general employees.”

The Court rejected most of the Plaintiffs’ challenges, including claims that collective bargaining rights on non-wage issues must be restored. However, it also held that on Equal Protection and First Amendment grounds: (1) “general employee” unions cannot be required to recertify on an annual basis if “public safety employee” unions aren’t required to; and (2) members of “general employee” unions must be allowed to have union dues deducted from their paychecks if members of “public safety employee” unions are given that option.

Regarding the decision, Wisconsin Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen stated: “This case started as a broad attack on all union-related aspects of Act 10. Plaintiffs have failed on all but two issues. If the ruling stands, unions representing non-“public safety employees” will no longer have to demonstrate member support through annual recertification and will have greater ability to take money out of employees’ paychecks. While this may give the unions more power over their members, it does nothing to benefit the public employees of this state.”

Van Hollen further commented, “Although we are still reviewing the adverse portions of the ruling and considering the options, we are confident that we would prevail in an appeal if we choose to go that direction.”

Gab Rules the Left shall win at any cost!

March 12, 2012

The Wisconsin state elections board has voted unanimously to order recall elections against four Republican state senators.

The highly partisan Wisconsin elections board has voted unanimously to order the preordained recall elections against any and all Republican state senators that their Public Employee Union masters tell them too.  In this case it just four.

The Government Accountability Board on Monday said enough signatures were gathered against each of the four lawmakers to order recall elections.
The four targeted Republican are Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald, Sens. Van Wanggaard of Racine, Terry Moulton of Chippewa Falls and Sen. Pam Galloway of Wausau.

The completely biased Government (un)Accountability Board on Monday said they really don’t care if there were enough signatures gathered against each of the four lawmakers to order the recall elections they were going to do it anyways.  The four targeted Republicans are Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald, Sens. Van Wanggaard of Racine, Terry Moulton of Chippewa Falls and Sen. Pam Galloway of Wausau but the GAB would also gladly include anybody else the Democratic Party of Wisconsin wants them to.

The board rejected broad arguments made by all four senators challenging thousands of signatures.

The board rejected all reasonable arguments made by all four senators challenging thousands of signatures.  In essence they said to hell with the law and common sense, we have our marching orders from our masters.

The date of those elections remains unknown.

The date will remain secret from the voters on the right until they have taken place to ensure victory of the people holding Wisconsin hostage.

Despite being exhonerated by the DA, Mr. Al-Mujaahid’s gun remains in Milwaukee City Police possession.

March 7, 2012

Wisconsin Carry, Inc. issued the following press release a few minutes ago:
————-
For Immediate release:

On January 30th, 2012 a law-abiding Wisconsin concealed carry license holder, Nazir Al-mujaahid, used his sidearm to shoot a shotgun-weilding armed robber who had entered a north-side Aldi’s grocery store in Milwaukee and threatened the cashier and customers. As is standard protocol, the armed citizen’s holster, gun, and ammunition were taken into evidence by the Milwaukee Police Department.

A few days later the Milwaukee District Attorney’s office cleared the armed citizen of any wrong-doing and declared the shooting justified.

Despite being exhonerated by the DA, making repeated attempts to obtain the return of his firearm from Milwaukee Police, and sending a letter to the DA’s office requesting assistance in the return of his property, Mr. Al-Mujaahid’s gun remains in Police possession.

Wisconsin Carry, Inc. has observed what appears to be a pattern of civil-rights infringing behavior from the Milwaukee Police Department. The Milwaukee Police Department appears to have a practice of concocting baseless reasons to seize any and all guns they come across in the City – even when those guns have never been used in connection with a crime. The Police Department also appears to have a practice of refusing to return firearms or unduly delaying the return of firearms that were seized incident to an arrest despite the fact that no charges were brought or when the gun owner is exonerated by the court system.

WCI believes that these acts by the Milwaukee Police Department represent violations to law-abiding citizens constitutionally guaranteed right to be free from illegal seizures of their private property and their Constitutionally recognized right to keep and bear arms.

As Wisconsin Carry considers whether legal action against the City of Milwaukee is justified or required to correct this apparent illegal and immoral behavior, we call on the Milwaukee Police Department to return Mr. Al-Majaahid’s gun to him without delay.

(end or press release)
——————————-

Today Wisconsin Carry would ask that our members begin making contact with the Milwaukee Common Council and Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett and demand that they take action and have MPD return Nazir’s gun to him to prevent Milwaukee from exposing itself to possible litigation from Wisconsin Carry, Inc. Milwaukee just paid a settlement to Wisconsin Carry this past fall that the Common Council had to approve because of MPD’s actions and refusal to return property to a citizen who was cleared of any wrongdoing yet his gun never returned. They should be familiar with our organization and our propensity NOT to make idle suggestions of filing litigation against the city.

Ask Mayor Tom Barrett and the members of Common Council Public Safety to side with the law-abiding citizen who defended himself and others from a shotgun-wielding thug and implore Milwaukee Police to return the “Aldi’s armed citizen”, Nazir’s gun to him immediately.

Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett:

(414) 286.2200 mayor@milwaukee.gov

Milwaukee Common Council Public Safety Committee:

The Public Safety Committee is concerned with issues brought forth from the fire, police, health and neighborhood services departments.

Members:
Ald. Robert G. Donovan, Chair

Ald. Robert W. Puente, Vice Chair
(414) 286-2221 E-mail rpuent@milwaukee.gov

Ald. Terry L. Witkowski

Ald. James N. Witkowiak
E-mail jwitko@milwaukee.gov

Ald. Joe Davis, Sr.
(414) 286-2221 E-mail jldavis@milwaukee.gov

Wisconsin Carry, Inc. will continue to use an “all of the above” approach to advancing and protecting the right to carry of law-abiding Wisconsin residents. This approach will include civil litigation, public relations, grass-roots legislative activism, and education/training.

Carry On,

Silent No More….The Happy Warrior lives on….

March 1, 2012

Today we mourn…no we celebrate the life of Andrew Breitbart.  He left us way too soon but what he left us with is a path forward .  He showed us through his example that conservatives do not have to sit and take it.  We can and must take it to the liberals.  For far too long the right have let the left set the rules we have to live by.  All the while, they were free to make up their own rules on the fly.  Andrew truly did empower the “Voice of the Right”.

What I encourage each of us to do is go forth and spread the small government, personal responsibility, hold the left’s feet to the fire message.  We need to be silent no more.  The Happy Warrior lives on ….in us!
